It is located in the heart of the Rushden Lakes shopping center, a modern complex that combines shopping with nature experiences by the lake. The restaurant opened in 2017 and has since established itself as a popular meeting place for locals, shoppers, and visitors. British cuisine with international twist

Culinary-wise, "Bill's Rushden Lakes" represents a modern interpretation of British cuisine with an international twist. The menu ranges from breakfast to lunch and dinner, focusing on fresh, seasonal ingredients. Particularly popular is the BBQ Bourbon Burger, a juicy dish with a spicy kick that pairs perfectly with a shopping day. The crispy calamari appetizer is also frequently highlighted – light, fried, and ideal as a snack before a stroll by the lake. For those looking for something lighter, the Crispy Duck Salad is a tasty choice with its combination of tender duck meat and fresh ingredients. For dessert, the Triple Chocolate Brownie entices guests with its rich texture and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Dog-friendly restaurant in Rushden

The restaurant places great emphasis on versatility, offering not only meat dishes but also a wide selection of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. The kitchen combines classic British elements, such as Fish Pie, with international influences, like the Eggplant & Burrata Parmigiana, which brings Italian flavors into play. The drink menu complements the food with a selection of cocktails, local beers, and non-alcoholic alternatives like the homemade Pink Lemonade, which is refreshing and slightly sweet. During the winter months, heated dining domes adorned with fairy lights create a cozy atmosphere, making the experience even more special.

Modern restaurants in Rushden

The service is often described as warm and attentive, with staff eager to accommodate individual requests – whether it’s special dietary needs or taking care of children and pets. The restaurant is also dog-friendly, which makes it popular among walkers. However, there are occasional criticisms regarding longer wait times during busy periods or minor discrepancies with orders, though these are usually outweighed by the positive overall experience. The lakeside location not only offers a beautiful view but also makes "Bill's" an ideal place to relax after a day of shopping or outdoor activities like kayaking.

Love love love Bill’s. Good food, good space and friendly people. Dog friendly (best part). Almost always stop for something to eat/drink when we visit Rushden Lakes. Highly recommend the pancakes, but everything is good that we’ve tried so far. They also do great Christmas menu’s.

AWFUL "Dog menu" outside pulling in 20 30 families with dogs. In reality the dog menu is a pack of training treats which should be given sparingly as a treat NOT a meal. Shocking that they can get away with this, exploiting dog owners. Our dog was sick 10mins after leaving. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Also £6 for a bottle of peroni that was warm and glass looked like it hadn't been washed in months. Awful service. AVOID

Food was okay , service was poor I couldn’t tell you who served us as we weren’t paid much attention to and were served by a variety of different people. The bathroom as awful but the restaurant itself looked nice and seemed to have a good atmosphere. I would potentially try during off peak times for better service and a clean bathroom but I can say I was pretty disappointed.

When we arrived had to wait 10 minutes at the door before anyone even bothered with us. Place was 3/4 full. Service was poor, understaffed felt almost sorry for the service staff. Atmosphere wasn't great customers whinging and complaining about various stuff. Food was mediocre at best, nicely spread out on the plate to make it look more than it was. Cans of coke were warm. 12% service charge included 🙄 over 25 per person no starters or desert Previously we've had a great experience. Won't waste my money again when you get better at the local estate pubs

Fantastic food and service. Attention to the decor diners see is needed! Cobwebs and dead flys in summer heating appliances needed.

Came for a valentines meal with partner. We were seated quickly and the waitress was attentive. We had been told by one member of staff that we couldn't get a normal meal from the menu but we asked our waitress and this was allowed. The meal was pretty good and we got a blue light discount which took off 20percent. The bill came and I had forgot that they do a service charge which was 7 pounds odd. I don't like this as I always tip anyway, but I tipped on top to round it up.

As always we had a fantastic meal out at Bills, tonight we had our meal in one of the out side pods. Fantastic meal and the drinks kept coming, service was first class and Rosie and the team went the extra mile to make sure we had a great meal out. Thank you to all the staff for making the night entertaining and a special thanks to Rosie for her first class service, for entertaining us with her Christmas Singing and for making the evening so special 🤗

Bill’s at Rushden Lakes: Where Great Food Meets the Risk of Overordering Bill’s at Rushden Lakes isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a temptation trap where your simple plan for “a quick bite” turns into a three-course feast you didn’t know you needed. The menu is packed with so many delicious options that making a decision feels like an extreme sport, and before you know it, you’re ordering “just a few extras” and wondering how you got here. First, the vibe—it’s stylish yet cosy, the kind of place that makes you feel just fancy enough without having to pretend you know anything about wine pairings. Whether you’re popping in for breakfast, brunch, dinner, or just an excuse to eat something covered in cheese, Bill’s delivers. Now, the food. Everything comes out looking Instagram-ready, but more importantly, it tastes incredible. The burgers? Next-level juicy. The steaks? Perfectly cooked. The mac & cheese? So dangerously good you’ll consider writing it into your will. And let’s talk about the halloumi fries—crispy, golden, and basically a legal addiction at this point. And then there’s the dessert menu, which exists solely to ruin your willpower. You’ll tell yourself you’re too full, but let’s be honest—you’re ordering the sticky toffee pudding anyway. And when it arrives, warm and drowning in toffee sauce, you’ll know you made the correct life choice. The staff are fantastic—friendly, helpful, and miraculously patient when you take way too long to decide on your main course. Even when the place is packed (which it often is, because it’s that good), they keep things running smoothly with the kind of service that makes you feel genuinely looked after. Bill’s at Rushden Lakes is the place to go when you want food that’s consistently excellent, in a setting that’s stylish but still comfy enough to unbutton your jeans after dessert. Five stars—just don’t ask me how much I ate.

Pancakes were weirdly dry and undercooked. The matcha latte was nice but came in a cheap horrid plastic cup. The biggest breakfast on the menu still only comes with 1 sausage!, and also pickled onions do not belong on full English. Asked for more syrup, which came in a jug that was so sticky and unclean that syrup was glogged in opening so couldn't get anyone. Don't waste your money and just go somewhere cheaper.
